The Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety entered into force
for the I. R. of Iran on 18 February 2004.

The I. R. of Iran signed the Protocol on 23 April 2001,
and ratified it on 20 November 2003.

The Protocol entered into force
on 11 September 2003
